Jill Weinger

Dr. Gross and Dr. Ruff would like to welcome Jill Weinger to our practice as our Physician Assistant. Jill grew up in Plano and currently lives in Dallas with her husband and two sons. She went to college at the University of North Texas in Denton and then attended the Physician Assistant program at the University of Texas Southwestern Allied Health Science Center. She has been practicing as a PA since 1997.

We are happy to have a Physician Assistant to accommodate patient’s needs. She is able to see our patients and manage their medications or therapy as necessary. She will be available for clinic office visits as well as assisting with phone messages. We hope that our patients will enjoy the convenience of being seen more quickly for acute issues requiring evaluation.

We would like to emphasize to our patients, that as a Physician Assistant, Jill will be working closely with both physicians to coordinate patient care. You may see her exclusively or on an occasional basis, as you prefer. She is available to see both our adult and pediatric patients.

The Physician Assistant training involves a similar curriculum, training facilities, and training faculty as the physician. This ensures that the PA develops similar medical reasoning and use of medications as the physician. The responsibilities of a PA include conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses, ordering and interpreting tests, counseling on preventive care, and prescribing medications.
